Email from Sutherland Shire Football Association:
Council have, as a direct result of the recent wet weather and the state of the fields, advised that they would prefer that we do not play football this weekend () and that we commence our competitions on the weekend of . Council have also offered an extension to our season of one (1) week to .
Accordingly clubs are advised that this will impact the draw as follows:
1. Round 1 will now be rescheduled to ,
2. Round 2 will remain as scheduled for ,
3. Regrading requests/ decisions will now be moved back at least one week (still dependent upon subsequent rounds being played),
4. All matches scheduled for night ( ) are cancelled and will be rescheduled to (or moved to ),
5. Semi Finals, Finals and Grand Finals will all be pushed back one week, and
6. Plan B matches as previously published will proceed this weekend at Kareela.
Note that Plan B will proceed this weekend at Kareela as it maximises the use of the Kareela synthetic fields and the number of matches some teams will play. It is also expected that this is unlikely to be the only washed out Round this season (but, if no other Rounds are washed out the Plan B participants for this weekend will have a weekend off before the semi-finals).
At the completion of each game played at Kareela and , match sheets must be returned to the SSFA letterbox (blue box) at the entrance to HDFC, Bates Drive.
Home teams are responsible for match sheets. (Printing and delivery after game)

A Message from The President:
Kanga’s Players and Supporters:
Wow, another season comes to a close and what a huge few weeks. On Friday night we held the U10 Gala night where we had 34 teams represented. All the feedback has been fantastic from both the kids that played and the parents, carers and supporters that attended. We estimate that over 1000 people were at the fields on Friday night.
As many of you would be aware we then went into the grand finals that were played on Saturday and Sunday. The Kanga’s had probably it’s best representation ever with nine (9) teams making it through to the Grand Final. This is after eighteen (18) out of thirty (30) competitive teams made the semi- finals, an outstanding effort.
Those teams that made the grand final were the 18As, 18E-1s, SWE, AL14, AL11-2, AL10-1, AL6-2, AL4-2 and 35As. It takes a lot of effort to make it through to the grand final and on behalf of all of us at the Kanga’s my congratulations goes to the teams mentioned.
Ultimately the Kanga’s had four (4) teams take out the 2016 Premiership, the 18As, AL14, AL6-2 and AL4-2 teams an outstanding achievement and well done to everyone involved in those teams including the players, Managers, Coaches and supporters.
Over the Friday night and weekend we had all fields at Kareela Ovals playing football. As a result a massive effort went into coordinating games (both prior to and on the days), setting fields up and running the canteen. To all of you that assisted us over the three (3) days we are extremely thankful and we would not have been able to deliver without your support, it was truly appreciated.
To the Committee members that spent not only all of this weekend delivering through working tirelessly but who have put in significant periods of personal time throughout the season on behalf of the entire club a huge thank you. Without your efforts the Kanga’s would not be in the strong position it is, not just on the field and getting people playing football but financially and through improvements to the clubhouse. An incredible effort by an incredibly dedicated group of people, thank you.
In the coming few months we will have both the Senior and Junior presentations, the Junior presentation will be on Sunday the 23rd of October and the Senior Presentation on Saturday 29th October. Further information around the presentations will be forthcoming in the near future.
In closing I hope that all of you have enjoyed the season either playing or watching football, regardless of the final results. We look forward to everyone coming back next year for what promises to be a bigger year, enjoy the summer break and see you in 2017.
Go the Kangas!
President - KKFC
Kirrawee Kangaroos Football Club committee would like to thank all volunteers who helped over the finals series.
We have had 3 great weekends and the only way we have survived them is with the help of those who gave some time over the last 3 weeks, including the U10 Gala night.
The Semis, Finals , Grand Finals and U10 Gala nights were successful events for us and have gone a long way to fund planned improvements to your club house and cover expenses for next year.
Congratulations to our 2016 Premiers
U18A, AL4s, AL6s, A14s
We also would like to congratulate all those teams who made the finals series for making it as far as they did..
