Green - Spaces available, Red - No spaces

We will be hosting a junior muster day to get the kids playing some games and meeting the other kids in their respective age groups.

This will also give us a good idea on teams and grades to give the kids for the season.

We encourage you all to come in order to put the kids into the appropriate teams this year.

It will be split times for different age groups.

Details are as follows:

Sunday 4th March
U6s : 9-10am
U7s : 10:30-11:30am
U8s : 12-1pm

This will kick off on the grass fields in front of the clubhouse.

Please be there at least 15 minutes prior to kick off to get your child's name marked off.

Your child can wear anything comfortable on the day because they will be running around a lot.

They do not require boots for this day but if they have them please wear them along with shin pads if they have them. (Its not a big deal if they don't).

Also make sure they have lots of water with them. Sunscreen and a hat if they wish.

Teams will be finalised from the outcome of this run around.

If the day is cancelled due to weather or field unavailability, you will be notified via our social media network. Please go on to our website and follow our facebook page as well as our club team app. This is how the bulk of our messages are communicated.

Looking forward to seeing all the kids there.

Sutherland Shire Football Association (SSFA) advises that trials for the 2018 FNSW Women’s Premier League (WPL) Teams, the FNSW Girls SAP (GSAP) and the Girls Junior Academy Squads will be conducted at Harrie Dening Centre, Bates Drive, Kareela.

  • FNSW will be operating competitions for Women’s Representative Footballin the following age groups:  U14, U15, U17, Reserve and First grade across two Leagues (WPL1 and WPL2). It has not yet been advised by FNSW which WPL competition the SSFA will be entering its teams, but as WPL2 Club Champions in 2017 the SSFA has applied (and expects) to be placed in the WPL1 competition.
  • FNSW will also be operating the FNSW Girls Skills Acquisition Program(GSAP): for U13, U12, U11 and U10 age groups. The GSAP teams will also represent the SSFA playing games on a weekly basis (with players playing only for the SSFA GSAP teams)
  • The SSFA will also augment the WPL and GSAP programs with the SSFA Girls Academy- a skill based training program that follows the FFA National Curriculum and is part of the FFA/ FNSW pathway for talented players.

Congratulations to Kirrawee Kangaroos U18As on winning the Deploy State Cup NSW in their respective age group on Sunday 16th July at Valentine Sports Park. The boys fought hard and were down 0-1. With 5 or so minutes to go before full time, they equalised 1-1 sending the game into 'Sudden Death Goal'. The boys were then fortunate enough to win in the second half of extra time with a scoreline of 2-1. A big congrats to their opposition Winston Hills for such a great match. On behalf of the Kanga community we would like to send out a massive congrats to these young kanga's who have done well and made us all proud. It's great for the team and for Kirrawee Kangaroos FC to come home with a State Title. Up The Kanga's!!!!!

Email from Sutherland Shire Football Association:

All Clubs

Council have, as a direct result of the recent wet weather and the state of the fields, advised that they would prefer that we do not play football this weekend (25 & 26 March) and that we commence our competitions on the weekend of 1 and 2 April. Council have also offered an extension to our season of one (1) week to 2 and 3 September.

Accordingly clubs are advised that this will impact the draw as follows:

1.       Round 1 will now be rescheduled to 8 and 9 April,

2.       Round 2 will remain as scheduled for 1 and 2 April,

3.       Regrading requests/ decisions will now be moved back at least one week (still dependent upon subsequent rounds being played),

4.       All matches scheduled for this Friday night (24 March) are cancelled and will be rescheduled to 7 April (or moved to 9 April),

5.       Semi Finals, Finals and Grand Finals will all be pushed back one week, and

6.       Plan B matches as previously published will proceed this weekend at Kareela.

Note that Plan B will proceed this weekend at Kareela as it maximises the use of the Kareela synthetic fields and the number of matches some teams will play. It is also expected that this is unlikely to be the only washed out Round this season (but, if no other Rounds are washed out the Plan B participants for this weekend will have a weekend off before the semi-finals).

At the completion of each game played at Kareela this Saturday and Sunday, match sheets must be returned to the SSFA letterbox (blue box) at the entrance to HDFC, Bates Drive.

Home teams are responsible for match sheets. (Printing and delivery after game)

Please advise your teams and players accordingly (with wholehearted thanks to Council for their support and flexibility).

Regards

Jeff Stewart

Please support our club Sponsors.

All sponsors are important to the running of Kirrawee Kangaroos Football Club.

Sponsors enable us to offset costs which players would otherwise have to pay. Without sponsors, registration fees would have to be increased and more fund raising carried out, putting pressure on players and families.
It is important that we support our sponsors so they can continue to support us.
If you do business with any of our sponsors, let them know you are from Kirrawee Kangaroos.
