WHAT TO DO BEFORE A GAME

This is a guide only. If you have never been a Manager before, this may help you.

As Manager, you are the link between the Club and your Team. It is important that you pass any information from the Club onto your team.

Things you must do on match days:

FOR HOME GAMES

  1. Ensure your team is at the playing field 30 minutes prior to kick-off time. This gives the coach time for a short training session/warm up and allows for late comers.
  2. Check pigeon hole at Ground Control (near canteen) for correspondence and team information.
  3. Using BIRO (no textas, pencils, gel pens) and PRINTING, fill in the match sheet. For U6-U9s check the players names and if someone is filling in, write their name on the sheet.U10s and up require ID numbers. For U12 and up, jersey numbers are to be written next to their names as well.Write Coach’s and Manger’s name.In the case that an official referee is not appointed or does not show up, a ‘ground appointed’ referee will be appointed.Sign in the space provided agreeing to the appointment of the referee.
  4. Make sure the players are ready by the starting time of the game.Check that boots are tied, shirts tucked in, correct club strip and colours, no jewellery or long finger nails and have ID cards ready (U10 and up).

FOR AWAY GAMES

  1. Ensure parents/players know what field the team is playing on.Larger clubs use other club’s fields as home grounds sometimes.
  2. When you arrive at away field, go to Ground Control and fill in Match sheet the same way you would at home games. In the case that an official referee is not appointed or does not show up, a ‘ground appointed’ referee will be appointed.Sign in the space provided agreeing to the appointment of the referee.
  3. Make sure players are ready to play by the starting time of the game.Check that boots are tied, shirts tucked in, correct club strip and colours, no jewellery or long finger nails and have ID cards ready (U10 and up).

Please support our club Sponsors.

All sponsors are important to the running of Kirrawee Kangaroos Football Club.

Sponsors enable us to offset costs which players would otherwise have to pay. Without sponsors, registration fees would have to be increased and more fund raising carried out, putting pressure on players and families.
It is important that we support our sponsors so they can continue to support us.
If you do business with any of our sponsors, let them know you are from Kirrawee Kangaroos.
